Mystical San Francisco

Another great photo taken by Daniel Burr captured the Golden Gate Bridge during a stunning San Francisco sunset. I shot this image on the west side of Fort Point, he said. I remember the waves were really good this evening, and I kept having to move my tripod when a big set would come through just so my camera wouldnt get wet. I was happy to get a couple good shots though, especially since I chose to take photos instead of surf. Burr used a Nikon D3 100 camera body with the ISO set at 100, a 15-second exposure, an 18mm lens set at f/10. The slower shutter speed allowed the water to take on a mystical look and caused the lamps to glow brighter than normal, giving the overall image an ethereal feel.
