S. Jersey Boys: Sat. S.J. boys: Egg Harbor outlasts Cherokee

Egg Harbor Township pitcher Jordan Wisser entered the baseball game in a big spot.
With his team up by three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, Wisser inherited a two-out, bases-loaded situation against host Cherokee on Saturday. After allowing a two-run single and a walk, Wisser forced a groundout to get the save and give Egg Harbor a 3-2 nonleague win.
Teammate Todd Henry knocked in two runs on a two-out triple in the fifth inning, and that proved to be the difference.
Austin Fottrell allowed two earned runs on three hits in 62/3 innings. He struck out five and walked three.
In other nonleague action:
Austin Chaszar blasted a two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to give Bordentown a 7-6 victory over Robbinsville. Marc Gronostajski hit a grand slam in the first inning.
Junior righthander Trent Eastman pitched a two-hitter and struck out 16 to spark host Doane Academy, which downed Boys Latin, 10-2.
Chris Caprio walked two and struck out four in a two-hitter for Hammonton, shutting out visiting Haddon Heights, 10-0.
Zack Gakeler doubled and went 4 for 4 with three RBIs to ignite host Northern Burlington to an 8-2 triumph over Hopewell Valley.
Joshua McCouch drove in five runs, scored three times, and doubled twice during Overbrooks 13-3 home victory over Gloucester.
Tyler DiParti struck out four in two scoreless innings to earn a save and seal a 3-1 win for host Wildwood over Penns Grove.
Shaw Tournament. Austin Tassi scattered four hits over seven innings to power tournament host Audubon to a 7-0 win over Triton in the semifinals.
Ryan DiMeo hit a double and a home run for Bishop Eustace, which trumped Riverside, 12-5, in the other semifinal.
Bishop Eustace will face Audubon in the championship game at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Lacrosse
Joe Eisele found the back of the net with 59 seconds remaining, breaking a tie and giving St. Augustine Prep a 5-4 road win over West Deptford.
Nick Ellis had a game-high four goals for West Deptford.
