Jeters single in the fourth was hit No. 3,320, breaking a tie with Paul Molitor.

Next on the list is Carl Yastrzemski, with 3,419.
-- Alexi Amarista celebrated his 25th birthday by delivering a go-ahead, pinch-hit three-run homer in the seventh inning to lift the Padres to a 4-2 victory over host Miami.
-- Chris Colabello, who played seven seasons of independent ball before signing with Minnesota in 2012, drove in four runs - including three with a sixth-inning double that broke a 6-6 tie - as the Twins beat the Indians. He leads the AL with 11 RBIs.
-- Rangers right-hander Yu Darvish struck out the Rays Wil Myers in the first for his 500th career strikeout. The milestone came in 401 2/3 innings, which the Rangers say is the fewest innings for a starter to reach 500 strikeouts in major-league history.
